Bienville Skipper, Attorney at Law ORDER FOR INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAMINATION Claimant filed a motion for medical treatment requesting approval of surgery recommended by Dr. Michael Molleston for Claimant's cervical injury. The Employer-Carrier filed a response and a motion for an independent medical evaluation. Two telephonic conference calls were held on March 28, 2005, and April 1, 2005. After considering the evidence presented and arguments of counsel, I find that Claimant should undergo a comprehensive evaluation of his condition by Dr. Ashraf Ragab with the University Orthopaedic Associates. Dr. Ragab is asked to examine Claimant thoroughly, evaluate his medical condition, and advise the Commission about the status of Claimant's current medical condition and whether the surgical recommendation is reasonable and necessary for Claimant's cervical problems.
