(a) Deposits of mutual aid associations, heretofore or hereafter made with the State Treasurer...
(1) Section 27-6-2; and
(2) Section 27-6-13.
(b) A mutual aid association shall be deemed to be an "insurer" for the purposes and within the terms of Chapter 6 of this title.
