TITLE 2. FAIR POLITICAL

PRACTICES COM MISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Fair Po-

litical Pr actices Commission, pursuant to the au-

thority vested in it by Sections 82011, 87303, and

87304 of the Government Code to review proposed

conict–of–interest codes, will review the proposed /

amended conict–of–interest codes of the following:

A written com ment period has been established

comm encing on Ja nuar y 10, 2025, and clos ing on Feb-

ruary 24, 2025. Written comments should be di rected

to the Fair Political Practices Commission, At tention

to, California 95811.

At the end of t he 45–day com ment period, t he pro-

posed conict–of–interest code will be subm itted to

the Commission’s Executive Director for their review,

unless any interested person or their duly authorized

representative requests, no later than 15 days prior to

the close of the written comment period, a public hear-

ing before the fu ll Commission. If a public hearing is

requested, the proposed will be submitted to the Com-

mission for review.

The Executive Director of the Commission will

review the above–referenced conict–of–interest

code, proposed pursuant to Government Code Sec-

tion 87300, which designate, pursuant to Govern-

ment Code Section 87302, employees who must dis-

close certain investments, interests in real property

and income.

The Executive Director of the Commission, upon

their own motion or at the request of any interest-

ed person, will approve, or revise and approve, or

return the proposed to the agency for revision and

re–submission within 60 d ays without further notice.

Any interested person may present statements, ar-

guments, or comments, in writing to the Executive

Director of t he Commission, relative to review of the

proposed conict–of–interest code. Any written com-

ments must be received no later than February 24,

2025. If a public hearing is to be held, oral comments

may be presented to the Commission at the heari ng.

COST TO LOCAL AGENCI ES

There shall be no reimbursement for any new or in-

creased costs to local government wh ich may re sult

from compliance with these codes because these are

not new program s mandated on local agencies by the

codes since the requirements described herein were

mandated by the Political Reform Act of 1974. There-

fore, they are not “costs mandated by the state” as de-

ned in Government Code Section 17514.

EFFECT ON HOUSI NG

COSTS AND BUSINESSES

Compliance w ith the codes has no pote ntial eect

on housing costs or on pr ivate persons, businesses, or

small businesses.

AUTHORIT Y

Government Code Sections 82011, 87303 and

87304 provide that the Fair Political P ractices Com-

mission as the code–reviewing body for the above

conict–of–interest code shall approve codes as sub-

mitted, revise the proposed code, and approve it as re-

vised, or return the proposed code for revision and

re–submission.

REFERENCE

Government Code Sections 87300 and 87306

provide that agencies shall adopt and promulgate

conict–of–interest codes pursuant to the Political Re-

form Act and amend t heir codes when change is ne-

cessitated by changed circumstances.
