In all cases in which the State of South Dakota is made garnishee defendant, it is not necessary for the state to file a formal disclosure, but it is a sufficient disclosure for the state auditor to notify the plaintiff or the plaintiff's attorney stating what amount, if any, is due to the principal defendant at the time of the service of summons in garnishment upon the state auditor.
