Annually the commission shall elect such officers from its members as it deems advisable. Officers shall serve at the pleasure of the commission. The commission shall meet at least 4 times in each calendar year. A member of the commission shall receive as compensation for his services in attending meetings of the commission the sum of $35.00 for each such meeting day attended.
