The [City Council and the Police Jury] city council may provide[, in their respective jurisdictions,] for the enforcement of any code, ordinance, or other measure enacted under this [Sub-Part] Subpart. A violation of any such code, ordinance, or other measure is hereby declared a misdemeanor.
