DISCUSSION
On
February 21, 2018, the claimant filed a Form AR-C, with this
Commission. At the time of the filing of the Form AR-C, the
claimant had retained, the legal services of Ms. Laura Beth
York. Regarding the alleged injury, the claimant stated he
was repairing jacks on a conveyer, when another employee
collapsed on the conveyor line. According to the claimant, he
sustained injuries to his left ring finger, in the form of an
amputation. The claimant also alleged injuries to his left
hand, along with symptoms of pain radiating down to his left
elbow and other whole body.
The
claimant requested both initial and additional benefits.
Hence, all of the boxes for benefits listed under the
sections for initial and additional benefits were checked. It
appears that the respondents accepted the claim as a
compensable injury for the claimant’s left ring finger
amputation.
