Every new application for a license to act as a pilot on coastal waters must be accompanied by an application fee of $500 for the first pilotage area and $50 for each successive pilotage area. Original and renewal license fees are $375 for 5 years, regardless of number of areas being renewed. Licenses may be renewed up to 90 days after the date of expiration upon payment of a late fee of $100 in addition to the renewal fee.
