'42, § 6205 Ref. yr lttr 30 Nov. '72           Dear Miss Love:          You ask:          ‘1. Is it within the authority of the Board of Supervisors of a county and/or Mayor and Board of Aldermen of a municipality to terminate the terms of office of a legally appointed board of library trustees for the purpose of creating a new board of trustees?’          You further ask:          ‘2. If so, would the passage of an ordinance be the procedure for terminating the board(s) of trustees?’          It is our opinion that, under provisions of Mississippi Code of 1942, Section 6205, that the management and control of a County or Municipal Library can be vested in a Board of Trustees as provided for therein, even though it results in the termination of the terms of office of previously legally appointed library trustees, provided such action was the result of the creation of a new Board of Trustees.
