         Mr. Jimmy McDaniel          Constable          209 Wilson Street          Philadelphia, Mississippi 39350          Re: Payment of Constables On Arrest Warrants           Dear Constable McDaniel:          Attorney General Edwin Lloyd Pittman has received your letter and has assigned it to the undersigned for research and reply. In your letter you state:
“I would like for your office to send me the law or an opinion on how a constable is suppose to receive his pay on any type of arrest warrants. “Do we receive pay for those that are found guilty by the court and are ordered to pay a fine and court cost or do we receive pay for all arrest warrants we serve? “Any information on this matter or any matter concerning the pay of a constable would be appreciated. “Also, does a justice judge have the authority to let a person who has been picked up on a mittimus out of jail without paying his fine or the constable's cost?”
         In response to your question concerning payment on warrants, it is the opinion of this office that subsections (a) and (f) of Section 25-7-27, Mississippi Code, Annotated, 1972, as amended, that a constable...
