D'Acchioli, Superintendent of Woonsocket Schools, is complete. You allege that Dr. D'Acchioli violated R.I. Gen. Laws § 38-2-1 et. seq., the Access to Public Records Act (APRA), by refusing your request for "copies of the two latest consolidated absentee reports for both students and teachers which are already o[n] file." In response to your complaint, we contacted the city solicitor, Richard R. Ackerman, Esquire, who stated that "Dr. D'Acchioli responded to Mr. Prybyla's request by providing him with the general absentee figures for both teachers and students." Mr. Ackerman notes that the student absentee figures were gathered by Dr. D'Acchioli's "secretary calling each of the schools and being told the number of students absent."
