          Representing the Claimant: Al Chadick, Esquire.           Representing the Employer/Carrier: Catherine Bell, Esquire.          ORDER GRANTING MOTION TO COMPEL PURCHASE OF HOME           ALAN C. GOODMAN, ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE.          Came on this day to be heard the Claimant's Motion to Compel the Purchase of a Home, and this Administrative Judge, after reviewing the records on file with the Commission and hearing arguments of counsel, finds and orders as follows:          1. Claimant suffered a compensable injury to his left lower extremity on December 1,2018. The injury resulted in a transfemoral amputation of the left leg as well as damage to the right lower extremity consisting of foot drop and loss of stability;          2. Claimant's treating physicians have indicated that he requires appropriate ADA compliant housing so Claimant can access his home via his wheelchair. Claimant has also received psychiatric care for post traumatic stress disorder. His treating psychiatrist has indicated that Claimant would benefit from being placed in a permanent living situation which could accommodate his current wheelchair use;          3. Claimant was living in a fifth wheel camper home at the time of his injury. That camper has been deemed unacceptable and unable to be modified to accommodate his wheelchair use;          4. Claimant has located a conventional foundation brick home for sale. That home has concrete driveways and walkways that have metal carport covers. The seller of that home is a contractor who indicates the home can be made wheelchair accessible with almost immediate occupation by the Claimant. The selling price for that property with the added modifications is $150,000;          5. The Employer/Carrier have proposed purchasing a similar plot of land that has utilities and a housing pad in place. The Employer/Carrier propose to purchase a...
