         Mr. Glen L. Warren          Sheriff          Scott County          Scott County Courthouse          Forest, Mississippi 39074          Jail Dockets           Dear Sheriff Warren:          Attorney General Edwin Lloyd Pittman has received your letter and has assigned it to the undersigned for research and reply. In your letter you state:
“We are in receipt of your official opinion on whether or not justice court judges can approve bonds, but we also asked whether or not the $7.00 bond fee was suppose to be collected by the judge if he approved said bonds. Please send an opinion on whether or not the judge is suppose to collect this $7.00 bond fee. “Also, we have another question we would like an opinion on. If a warrant is served on an individual is this individual's name suppose to be put in the jail docket? Sometimes we have individuals who are brought in on a warrant and taken directly to the judge's office and released on bond or cash fine. Are these subjects suppose to be put in the jail docket too?”
